LANXESS is a leading specialty chemicals company. The company has about 15,500 employees in 33 countries and is represented at 60 production sites worldwide. The core business of LANXESS is the development, manufacturing, marketing of chemical intermediates, additives, specialty chemicals and plastics.

The acquired site is about 24,000 sqft in International Business Park with Lanxess occupying a little more than half the area. An external common corridor divides Lanxess from Arlanxeo. The main challenge was to execute the renovation of the office space through a live migration without disruption to ongoing business activities.

The new office space is halfway between a traditional layout offering closed private offices lining the outer core with a full glass façade. I.Dezign took on a contemporary vision focus in the open office with minimalist stark white workstations with contrasting dark chairs. As with most corporate structures, the space is organized to encourage close collaboration within each department.
